Well, if you ask anyone in Singapore, Old Chang Kee = Curry Puff, Curry Puff = Old Chang Kee. But nowdays OCK sells many many other things, all our favourite deep fried food.
We take turns to 'chia' or treat each other food at work. This box is bought by colleague for us.
Guess how many curry puffs are inside?
Err, you count it yourself.
If you wondered what's inside, here it is. Potatoes, Chicken and Egg.
There's another post I had about another famous Pisang Goreng shop in Toa Payoh that also sells curry puff in Singapore. Visit that post here.
Well, if there's no OCK around you, and you wanna eat curry puffs, what can you do?
Here's some links to a few Singapore / Malaysian food bloggers, who have these few weeks made curry puffs, they have provided the recipe, so what are you waiting for?
Rasa Malaysia with the puff pastry curry puff. It looks delicious.

The Daily Scoop! of ice cream...
The Daily Scoop is a ice cream shop that makes their ice cream at the same premises. It's one of the nice ice cream shop, also in the West of Singapore.
It's located at Sunset Way, in a place called Clementi Arcade.
If only, I live next door, then I can really have daily scoop!
I ordered Chocolate Ice Cream. I love anything chocolate. They also served it in a ice cream bowl that's super cold, so your ice cream does not melt so quickly.
Colleague ordered, err I forgot what her ordered. haha... he's the only one who ordered double scoop and with choc coated cone too!
We all went in a group, here's a pic of those who ordered cones. Most of them ordred Durian.
Try it, you'll love it!

Haato Ice Cream - another ice cream discovery in the west
This post is really really fresh off the press. These photos were taken like 1 hour ago.
A few friends, we were talking about Jap food, and someone said, I know a place that has ice cream. Err it's 10 pm now, still open? Oh yes it is!
It's called Haato. It's located at 5 Ridgewood Close. (The Mt Sinai area)
Look at the flavours they have. Guess what I ordered?
I had White Sesame and Red Bean.
Some photos to let you see it at all angles.
There's waffles too! This is waffles with Chocolate Gelato.
This place has board games you can play too. We played 3 rounds of Sudoku. Yes at nearly midnight, we were so brain dead!
Stay tuned. I have been to another ice cream place few days ago, also in the West of Singapore. I shall post it soon.

Super Easy French Herbs Chicken Wings
This was what I prepared Saturday night. It's really simple, and you can do it too. 4 ingredients only. how simple can it get?
I had 11 chicken wings, the middle part only.
1 1/2 tablespoons of abalone sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons of oyster sauce
a huge dash of dried french herbs. (The Carrefour gourmet range) which is about 3 tablespoons.
I usually add in a dash of extra virgin olive oil, but decided not to today, which i regretted.
I usually use those non stick sheets, which are superb, they make cleaning up easy. See them in the picture? The water drop stays round. cool eh?
Marinate them well, dump it in a zip lock bag, shake it, and let it sit in fridge for like 2 hours.
After that, bake them at 140-150 C for 25 mins. I prefer low heat to let it cook slowly.
After that, turn the heat up a bit to around 160 C to let it brown and crisp to your liking.
Enjoy. :-)

Popiah at Clementi Kopitiam
If you like to queue for food, try this popiah stall in Clementi. You can wait over half an hour for it. I can't see any specialty in it, except for the wait. haha... Anyway it cost $1.20 each.
Come here if you like to queue like everyone else. :-p
(no, i did not queue for it haha... someone else did)
It's the kopitiam opposite OCBC, behind Fairprice.

Tung Lok Seafood: Part 2
Part 2 today.
Next served was the Prawns. They are so fresh!
Then little Dim Sum baskets appeared with 4 little treasures.
Then the noodles came out. I would say I love this the best. The stock is delicious, it's a bit salty but yummy. The pork's salty, different from the starter. The noodles done just right.
Dessert's included. Or Ni (Yam Paste) was served. There's carrots inside you know!
The traditional chinese dessert, served at all chinese restaurants :-)
-----
To answer comments posted yesterday, I think they are wise to open in Tuas. It's packed! I think most businesses will bring their clients here for food. :-)

Tung Lok Seafood: Part 1
Colleagues felt 'a bit rich', so we were treated to lunch at Tung Lok Seafood. We thought there was going to be buffet dim sum, but aiya! it's only for dinner and weekends. It's Thursday afternoon.
Anyway, since we were there, we sat down and enjoy our food lah, it's so ulu at Tuas Industrial estate. The only choice was Burger King beside it. Errr....
The starter already taste good yah. Sambal Long Beans with Bean Curds and Ikan Bilis.
Then there's this lady that carries this tray of food walking around, asking if you would like to try stuff. OK, we saw this and said yes! White Pork with Jelly Fish below.
We ordered the Set Meal. This is our first dish from the Set Meal. It's very delicious. No need to describe in details right, your keyboard will be soaked with liquid. haha...
Rest of the Set Meal tomorrow. Stay tuned...
This was taken yesterday. Thanks for those who prayed for my rashes to be healed. I think I am ok liao. Still taking antihistamins and putting on cream. See I am back into eating stuff with colleagues. LOL..

ABC Market: Fatty Cheong
You know I have been itching and chinese believe you should not be eating things that is considered 'tok' (in hokkien). Which can be loosely translated as poisonous. But but but.. colleagues decided let's go have Duck at ABC Market today!
Of course I was tempted. So off I go...
Here's ABC Market. (See this other blog to know why it's ABC)
Then here it is. Fatty Cheong. Colleagues discovered it by reading another food blog. Realised that the ducky here taste better than Tiong Bahru's!
There were 4 of us. Ordered half a duck.
And also Roast Pork and Crispy Pork.
More pix of the pork.
Guess what, I only ate the pork and veg. I was so disciplined that I did not touch the duck! And also the wonton soup (which had prawns another 'tok' food to avoid).
My rashes are 90% gone. I am on the road to recovery and back to normal makan soon I hope.

Heng Hua Food: Bee Hoon Soup, Chicken, Prawns in Bamboo, Dessert
The last of the series.
Here's the Heng Hua Bee Hoon Soup. I prefer the dry version.
This chicken looks normal right? Is there anything Heng Hua to it? haha... But it's delicious.
This is the Drunken Prawns in Bamboo cylinder. I think someone commented on the first day about it. Wonder if I am allergic to prawns? hmmm...
This is the dessert. White fungus, ginko nuts and red date. (note its singular. haha...)
What shall I post for the food tomorrow? I have only been eating plain porridge and pickled chai sim for the last 2 days. Poor thing eh...

Heng Hua Food: Briased Beancurd, Heng Hua Bee Hoon, Steamed Fish, Braised Red Pork
Here are more dishes that we are. You know it's sometimes a bit hard to take photos when there are many people around the table. When the food comes out, all the chopsticks are rushing to it. So I had to quickly snap the photo, so some pictures are really blur. :-(
This is the Beancurd / Beancurd Skin dish.
Heng Hua Dry Bee Hoon. (this is yummylicious!)
Fish, looks and taste quite normal to me.
This is two slabs of braised red pork. So much meat.
Ok, the last installment of Heng Hua Food tomorrow. A bit busy these few days and am on MC yesterday (allergy due to some food? arrghh) So comments are not still not answered.

Heng Hua Food: Deep Fried Century Egg, Sharks Fin, Scallops and Asparagus
Few weeks ago, our family went to have some Heng Hua Food. Heng Hua is a dialect and this is their cooking style. Mum's and aunt's side are Heng Hua.
There is one very famous Heng Hua Restaurant at Serangoon, but for that shop, we needed to wait for more than 1 hour. We were hungry as usual, and just went to the 'other' shop. haha..
We are at Putian Seafood. It's at Kitchener Road.
Update: Here's a photo of the shop.
The only thing different is the deep fried thing you see here. Guess what is it? They are actually deep fried century egg. Very nice.
Sharks Fin is like any Sharks Fin.
This is scallop and Asparagus. Is this Heng Hua? I dunno. It was ordered, we just ate :-)
More tomorrow.
