Have you been to the new Harry Potter foodcourt at Suntec?

We thought we walked into a library or bookshop. Then we realise, it's yet another new food place by Food Republic.

It does look very Harry Potter-ish ya? This is situated where the previous Congress Kopi Tiam is, together with the buffet place which was later called Kuali.

Oops, I just called it Harry Potter foodcourt. haha..

Name of the stalls as book covers. So innovative.

Books for sale, or is it Pork Rib?

The library ends right here. You could see the clear separation. Not sure when it opened, but it must be these few days. Anyone know?

One of these days got to go back and try the food. I just took photos without eating! We just had a Indian Buffet celebrating our ex-CG leader's birthday at Peninsula Plaza.

Have you tried Anything or Whatever?

Am sure that you have seen the advertisement on TV, Bus stops, Radio...

Have you tried it?

Sis and cousin tried it just now. They got Root Beer.
As you can see from the can, you can't figure out what you are getting!

Cheapest deal is at NTUC, where you get it for 70 cents a can, get 5 cans and get 1 free.
Cold Storage sells for 75 cents. The most expensive you can get is at Toastbox where they sell it at $1.50!

More about this silly drink at my other blog: Keropok's Singapore Daily Photo.

Haato Icecream and Waffle & Board and Card Games too!

A whole group of BSF friends, we went Haato to chat after dinner. Some were busy playing the Soduku, others Jenga, yet others taking photos of each other.

Most of us ordered the different kinds of ice cream. Just 2 pictures here of the ice cream and waffle that was eaten.

We went to the Ridgewood Close. Lots of boardgames to play, a bit like Settlers.

Gone to Ikea for Food, not Furniture

Wonder if its only in Singapore that when people says Ikea, other than Home Furnishings they think of Food!

My office mates, we went to Ikea yesterday. Someone needed to get some stuff there. The rest of us took the opportunity to eat there. Here's what we ate:

Seafood Fried Rice
There was actually quite a lot of dried oysters in the rice. A piece of fried chicken, one fishcake and one otah slice with sambal.

This is some mock meat vegetarian food. Forgot the exact name.
That's mock char siu, mock fish and mock sausages I think... with sambal of course.

And the famous Ikea Chicken Wings!

For people living or working near Alexandra or Tampines, you can see the monthly Ikea Restaurant menu at: http://www.ikea-friends.com

Keng Eng Kee Seafood : Colleague's Back from Maternity Makan...

I work with a bunch of fabulous colleauges. Any occasion we can think of, we will "hey, that calls for a celebration, let's go eat".

Our dear colleague just came back from maternity leave, of course we go makan lah...
Some place not too far away, and definitely not too near. So we ended up here.

We ordered a 4 item cold dish.

Wanted something with "chai por" (pickled radish), so "lao ban niang" suggested this. Chai Por Tofu.

The happy mum wanted to eat Sweet and Sour Fish, so here it is.

Ordered also Marmite Chicken

The Duck Gang in our group wanted duck, so this is the sea cucumber and duck in claypot.

Of course must order veggies, so here it is.

Wonder, what's the next occasion for celebration. haha...

McDonalds's Sundae Cone without Cones! Really!

Just last week, I went to McDonalds in NUS Engineering canteen to have dessert. Colleague ordered a sundae cone for me. When I got it, I got a shock! What's this?

Apparently, when they run of of cones, they fill up the sundae in these plastic cups, the cups that they give to you if you ask for ice water.

Interesting eh?

Evertop Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice @ Clementi Ave 2 (Previously Tanglin Halt)

This shop, Evertop Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice was very popular. It's a halal chicken rice place. It was previously at Commonwealth Drive / Tanglin Halt. It has moved for a few months to Clementi Ave 2.

It used to be a stall in a HDB coffeeshop. Now it is 2 shoplots in Clementi.

This is how it looks like now.

The veg dish.

"Lor Nerng". Braised Eggs.

This is Chicken Feet. (with the bones removed)

We ordered an extra bowl of ah char.

One whole chicken.

We had 7 of us. All of us thought that the food and portions at Tanglin Halt was better.
